Mediterranean Facelift

This older authentic Mediterranean home built in the 30’s needed a real facelift.When the new family moved in they wanted a complete change. First on the list was the removal of an old drive way in front of the house. Low serpentine walls created more of a terrace, using desert flagstone with wonderful olive tree, existing oaks, roses, geraniums, and fruit trees made for a pot pourri of drought tolerant planting. The backyard is a small intimate garden courtyard, with a barbeque and a small fountain surrounded by heavy colorful planting to screen the neighbor’s yard.
