DOWNTOWN 2000 STREETSCAPE RENOVATION

Lawrence R. Moss & Associates provided design development and construction documents for Arcadia’s Downtown 2000 Streetscape Renovation Project. The project area consisted of six blocks of Huntington Drive, stretching from Santa Clara Avenue to Fifth Street, and four blocks of First Street, from Huntington Drive to Diamond Avenue. Major design elements of this project include extensive landscaping and irrigation in street medians and sidewalk bumpouts, seating nodes with stone walls, decorative paving in intersections, and distinctive entry monumentation. New signage and amenities, including metal benches, trash receptacles, drinking fountains, and an information kiosk, were also included in the project scope.
